The night is cold.  Earlier this evening, as the sun set, and I made dinner, I captured this shot from my back yard deck.  The colors were magnificenlty crisp, just like the evening air.  I loved the contrast of the blue, green and red that played up for my eyes to see.  I have shared the picture I took with all of you.  Enjoy!

It is getting cold…the chill of Fall is in the air and before long, Winter will be upon our town, Pullman, WA.   There are a number of things you can do to maintain your vacant property during the harsh Winter months. 

• Keep your heat set at a minimum of 55-60 degrees.
• Open all cabinet doors wherever there is plumbing.
• Turn faucets on to drip, particularly where plumbing is on exterior walls.  Remember to turn on the hot water too…according to many plumbers, that line is the first to freeze!
• Make sure there are no hoses still attached to exterior faucets.
• If you have interior shutoffs for your outside faucets, remember to turn them off and drain the line.
• Insulate, or place insulated covers on exterior faucets.
• Have someone check on your home frequently.
