There are many steps Sellers take to put their house on the market, and they are all important!

One item that may not come to mind immediately, but is extremely important, is to have a Pre-Home Inspection conducted by a qualified Inspector. It is something I recommend to Sellers. Some choose not to do it and believe it is totally the buyer’s decision and cost, but others go ahead and have the inspection completed. I applaud these individuals!

It is such a stress relief when a Seller has the inpsection completed as they are able to see what might come up in a buyer ordered inspection and they can move forward to have the problems resolved.  After the transaction is in process and the buyer has an Inspection completed, many of the items are not very significant, yet they could be listed on the Inspection Response.  The Seller then can become irritated and that part of the negotiation process may be heated.  Why not take the surprise out of it, and see what needs to be done with your own inspection?

The Seller can choose what to fix and what to leave, but he/she is aware of what might come up and feels in control of the situation. If you’re planning on Selling your home, consider a Pre-Inspection!  It may be the best $350.00 you spend in having your home ready to sell.

There’s only two full days left until school is out for my daughter

Activities and camps are on the agenda.  She is excited to be participating in a number of those in our area.  But what about when she’s home and just “hanging out”.  I don’t mind the occasional TV show or some time on her ITouch, but I don’t want her reading to go to the wayside.  Is there a program that entices children to keep on reading through the summer?

Well, in our local Pullman WA library there is!  Our library, the Neill Public Library, offers a Summer Reading Program for young kids through teens that instill the continued love of reading.  It’s a program where kids keep a log of what they read and the length of time they spend reading.  By registering, they become eligible to win a gift certificate for local merchants valued at $200!

What a great program!  What a wonderful idea!  Don’t forget to register from June 9th through the 12th of June.  Enjoy the Summer…especially by reading your Summer away!

If you’re one of those parents wondering what options there are in Pullman WA for the Summer? Look into the Cougar Kids Camp held at Washington State Univeristy! The camp is held at the beautiful Rec Center located on the WSU campus. It’s close by and lots of fun for kids entering Grades 1 to 6. The activities include many sport activities like rock climbing, swimming and fun sports. These are all planned around weekly themes that encourage participation and lots of fun!
